Sleek straight hair...to last
With Glastonbury playing this weekend, and a plethora of fun festivals rolling out across the summer, it's time to prepare. First stop is for flat iron junkies fearing festival frizz. We tried out, and fell in love with, the Yuko system. As a self-confessed ghd fan (and many years of dousing my hair in straightening potions) I was dubious about the ‘permanent' Japanese treatment. The process involves collagen, keratin and silk proteins penetrating the hair, with a specialist hot iron applied to the hair shaft to promote heat oxidation. It takes around five hours, but in the comfort and company of Inanch Emir, of Inanch London, it felt like two, and the result? Fabulous, my hair is safe from further heat damage - five minutes with a hairdryer and it's poker straight! And I can't wait to pull on my wellies.
