The Brazilian Keratin treatment is the latest trend which all the celebrities are using. If you are looking for a treatment to eliminate all your frizz,
add strength and shine to your hair and still allow you to style it with curls or natural waves - this treatment is for you! Inanch London have been offering this new treatment since July 2008 and clients are amazed with the results to say the least.
The salon uses Global Keratin - a specialist taming treatment from Brazil that uses keratin based formulas to calm, condition and define damaged and unmanageable hair for up to five months. The results are truly transformative, leaving hair a joy to style, soft and glossy with a deep resonant shine.
The Global Keratin product itself is a formaldehyde-free formula infused with vitamins, collagen and the same protein that naturally occurs in hair. Once applied by a professional the product gets to work rebuilding the cuticle on every strand of hair and it is so gentle it can be used on coloured and highlighted hair. Variants of this treatment include Chocolate, Mint, Agai and Strawberry.
The treatment softens, smoothens, conditions and most importantly gives you gorgeous frizz-free hair. This type of hair straightening is not permanent but a natural treatment and lasts up to 4 months, fading progressively with every wash. As clients repeat the treatment every few months or so, they will be able to observe the improved quality of hair grown after this treatment has been applied. The application process takes 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the length and thickness of the hair. After the treatment is applied, it is sealed with a hot iron which traps moisture, hydrates the hair and creates a glossy finish.
The difference between this hair straightening system compared to other systems is that it does not use any strong chemicals to open and close the hair cuticle in an effort to straighten it. This Brazilian Straightening System is Keratin based which is a type of protein high in sulphur and the amino acid cystine which makes it tough, elastic and insoluble. Keratin is a natural repairing substance, which comprises approximately 88% of your hair. It penetrates the hair repairing internal damage and coats the hair preventing further damage.
Brazilian Hair Straightening is suitable for all types of hair including virgin, coloured, highlighted, previously straightened, kinky, curly, and wavy hair.
Important Points About the Brazilian Keratin Treatment

Things To Do During The First 4 Days
Initially there are some precautionary steps to take to ensure the best straightening possible.
- Wear your hair down for at least 4 days to allow the product to settle in your hair.
- Use hair dryer or flat iron (in case hair gets wet during the first four days.)
- Wear a silk scarf to pull your hair away from your face.
- Use a shampoo without Sodium-Chloride (Sulfate-Free) on your hair at all times.
Things Not To Do For The First 4 Days
- Do not wash your hair.
- Do not tie your hair into a ponytail.
- Don't use hair clips.
- Don't pull your hair behind your ears.
- Do not exercise or sweat.
- Don't use hair bands.
- Do not use your glasses to hold your hair back.
- Do not use sprays, gel or mousses.
