Hair Loss And Thinning In Women.

Thinning hair and baldness is something that is mainly associated with men but it is a problem that women can also suffer from. In the case of men, most male pattern baldness is just an inevitable sign of aging. It doesn’t matter if you are male or female, the problem of hair loss and baldness can make you feel extremely self-conscious and most sufferers are embarrassed by their problem. If you suffer from hair loss it can potentially destroy your social life and can even lead to depression. It can be argued that male baldness id easier to deal with then female baldness as it is more common to see a man with a bald head walking down the street than it is a woman. Some male celebrities have even made baldness sexy yet women have no icons to look to in the media. A woman’s hair is a symbol of her femininity and attractiveness and without it a sufferer may feel like half the woman she was before she started to lose her hair.

Each of us lose about 100 strands of hair a day, and this hair loss usually goes unnoticed as it is quickly replenished during the growth cycle. However, if you are losing more than 100 strands a day then you may be suffering from hair loss or thinning. The inevitable aging process and many other factors can affect the normal cycle of shedding and replenishing and the result is hair loss.

As mentioned before, it is perfectly natural for both men and women to experience some degree of hair loss during the aging process. Most of us are genetically predisposed as to how much hair we will lose during this time. Both men and women can suffer from pattern baldness but about 50% of menopausal and post-menopausal women will experience female pattern baldness and this hair loss is more than likely to be permanent. However, there are many other reasons why women experience hair loss and in lots of cases if the cause is found the damage can be reversed and the patient sufficiently treated.

Other reasons why women lose their hair include medication. Some common prescription drugs can have hair loss as a side effect and even drugs like birth control, blood thinners and antidepressants can all cause hair loss. What you eat can also have an influence on hair loss. If your diet contains too little protein or iron then this will not promote healthy hair growth and your hair may even start to fall out. Stress and illness can also cause hair loss. Some women lose large amounts of hair within two to three months after childbirth, until hormones return to normal.

Permanent hair loss may sound like the end of the world but there are lots of options available to help women deal with the idea of losing their hair. Wigs are now advanced and stylish than ever and more importantly they don’t even have to look like your wearing a wig anymore. You can have a wig made out of real human hair that will match perfectly to the natural colour and texture of your hair.

However, wigs are not for everyone. They can restrict your lifestyle somewhat; an alternative is the Hair Thickening system by Hairdreams. Hairdreams is the most durable and natural way of thickening hair that is thinning and replenishing hair that has been lost. The existing hair is gently supplemented and replenished with the highest quality human hair that will match your own natural hair colour and texture. Hairdreams will in no way restrict your lifestyle and no-one need know that the hair isn’t your own.
