The Brazilian Blow Dry is not like other straightening methods you may have heard of as although it does straighten then hair, it still provides it with a great amount of volume and bounce, whilst still allowing you to wear it wavy or curly with the use of styling appliances. Although the hair is chemically treated in a sense, there is no need to worry about the hair looking undone as the new hair grows. As the effects of Brazilian Blow Dry washes out with time, your hair will simply look natural and normal as the effects of the treatment wear off, keeping your hair looking great at all times. But how does this treatment work?

Firstly, your hair will be washed with a clarifying shampoo to rid the hair of any residue or styling products. The Keratin rich formula is then applied to hair from root to tip and then dried. Using a flat iron, the solution is locked into the hair, leaving it shiny and glossy. In some salons, you may be required to leave the solution on for up to three days with no allowance to wash or style it, which some may find a little difficult! In other cases, the solution may be rinsed out not long after being sealed into the hair with a conditioning mask applied soon after, and then your hair styled as normal. Your stylist can talk you through every phase of the treatment to ensure you are aware of what exactly is involved, as well as providing you with an estimated time of how lone this will take. Although it may take a few hours, it provides those who would stop doing activities such as swimming and sports due to the fear of their water getting wet, with the luxury of freedom. It gives you a ‘wash and go’ look, meaning you will not even need to straighten it much after washing it.
