When I have my extensions applied will people be able to tell that I am wearing them?
No one should be able to tell you have extensions attached as long as you opt for a colour and style that matches your own hair. They should be so well connected to your natural that they will be indistinguishable from your natural hair and just as tough as your natural hair, meaning you will be able to shower, bath and swim with them in without having to worry.
If I get bored of the Extensions, how much flexibility do I have with them?
Extensions aren't just used to add length to your hair, which demonstrates just how much flexibility you are presented with them. You can wear them in a wide range of styles. So if one week you want to wear them straight then you are able to blow dry them straight; if another week you want to curl them with tongs then you are able to do this too. The possibilities that you are presented with when it comes to extensions are genuinely endless!
Can I use them in other ways rather than just to add length?
The main use of extensions is of course to add length to your hair but for some people this isn't the desired use of extensions. Adding volume, colour and layers to your hair are all popular ways of using extensions. If you don't want to use harsh bleach or chemicals on your natural hair then you could ask your stylist for spot extensions that will give you either vibrant or subtle highlights. If you wish to add volume to your hair then your stylist can scatter them and cut them into your style to give your hair a great boost.
Can I wear them when on holiday, in the pool and the ocean?
There should be no reason as to why you can't go in the pool or ocean with them in. The one thing that you should be aware of however is that you will want to be very careful with your extensions once you come out of the water. When you do come out of the pool or ocean it is important that you rinse your hair thoroughly and that you follow all of the instructions that are given to you by your stylist.
How long will my extensions last for?
It is important that you get your extensions checked every four to six weeks to ensure that there are no problems developing with the scalp, and to make sure the adhesive is holding well. The actually length that they will last however depends largely on the type of extensions you have applied and the skill of the stylist who is applying them as well as the method of attachment you opt for. There are many forms of attachment methods such as sown in, glued in and wefts. In generally they will last about a period of three to six months.
I have naturally curly hair; can I get straight hair extensions?
The only way that it is advised to get straight extensions if you have naturally curly hair is if you are planning on having your natural hair permanently straightened. There are many straightening services that are on offer to you such as Brazilian hair straightening. If you don't have a permanent straightening service done to your hair then you will more than likely have difficulty in managing your hair with the extensions in place. Having your hair straightened beforehand will make dealing with your hair extensions a lot easier.
