Are you looking for the latest in Hair Straightening techniques?

There are six main methods for salon hair straightening, which are blow drying, hair irons, wet-to-dry straightening, traditional relaxers, Japanese (Yuko) straightening, and Brazilian straightening.

If you are one of the many people across the nation who suffer from unruly, curly or frizzy hair and you have tried everything to tame it but nothing seems to be working then it€™s about time that you educate yourself with what is known as Brazilian hair straightening.

If you are looking for a proven way of taming out of control hair then Brazilian hair straightening is for you. This revolutionary process takes roughly two hours to apply to your hair and the end result gives you frizz free smooth hair but the biggest appeal of the Brazilian hair straightening treatment is the fact that it actually helps to repair your hair so that it is left in better condition.

Brazilian hair straightening treatment can be used on any hair type; in fact the more damaged your hair the better the treatment will work on your hair. The reason why it is so effective is because it uses keratin, which is the main substance of our hair, skin and nails. It is a type of protein that is high in sulfur and amino acid cystine, which makes the hair tough, elastic and insoluble.

If you colour your hair regularly and you are due have your hair coloured around the same time that you are hoping to have the Brazilian hair treatment performed you should always try and get the colour put on before having the treatment done. This is because hair colouring is one way in which damage can be caused to your hair and the treatment works best when your hair is damaged so having the treatment done after your hair has been coloured will leave it in better condition as having colour applied to recently treated hair could mean you cut the time that the treatment works.

Remember the Brazilian hair treatment is not meant to be permanent as it does require the need to have the treatment re-applied about every three months. It is because of this reason that the treatment is safe to use of children€™s hair and why it blends in with the natural growth of your hair.

Brazilian hair treatment is continually growing in popularity and the main reason for this is because the treatment is better than any other permanent treatment available, this is because it actually improves the texture of your hair and as a result it protects your hair.

In the actual Brazilian hair straightening treatment process you will have a shampoo applied that is designed to open the cuticle, the keratin is then applied; the keratin formula adheres to the cuticles rough edge and traps in moisture which hydrates the hair and leaves it glossy and smooth looking. The hair is then blow dried. Once the hair has been dried it is ironed close to the scalp with a high heat to seal in the keratin.

When you have had the solution applied to your hair it is highly important that you do not wash or get your hair wet within four days of having it done. After these crucial four days have passed you are then able to shampoo and condition your hair with any product as long as it doesn€™t contain sodium chloride as this will strip the keratin from your hair; it is best to speak to your stylist about what shampoo is best to use.
